艾域克‧柏達 Eric Baudart簡介
Living and working in Paris, Eric Baudart pursues a practice that evolves from Marcel Duchamp’s readymades, while simultaneously devolving from it. His works are not mere found objects, but rather reconfigured and repurposed objects; the artist carefully assembles, composes, and re-choreographes materials to mount a delicate ballet of shapes, colors, and forms. In works that titter on the edge of artifice, Baudart presents everyday, commonplace utensils—such as honey-combed plastic, millimeter paper, and adhesive tape—and drains them from their everyday contextualization. This displaced materiality gives Baudart’s works a strikingly contemporary resonance.
