⿈潔宜 + Ali Wong簡介

⿈潔宜是⼀名⽣於⾹港,現居於紐約的藝術家。她在新界完成⼩學到⼤學的教育,後獲全額奬學⾦赴美國耶魯⼤學攻讀藝術創作碩⼠學位。

⿈⽒於2015 年獲選參加北極圈探險駐留計劃,前往距離北極僅僅10 度的地⽅進⾏創作,該駐留部分由Jerome 基⾦會(2015)⽀持。⿈⽒最近的項⺫包括在紐約K. Gallery 的個展「北極投資」,群展包括︰⾹港油街實現「之於那微不⾜道:⽌於廣闊」(2015)、紐約皇后美術館「將世界帶⼊世界」(2014)、紐約P! Gallery「天花板應該是綠⾊的」(2013)、美國巴爾的摩School 33 藝術中⼼「交易」(2013)等。

她曾獲耶魯⼤學「Susan H. Whedon 卓越獎」(2012)及⾹港中⽂⼤學「張⽒創作獎」(2006),並曾⼊選Sovereign 傑出亞洲藝術獎(2005)。她曾應邀與美國概念藝術先驅Mel Bochner 在美國亞洲藝術⽂獻庫進⾏了⼀場對話(2013)。2014 年,她受邀到舊⾦⼭藝術學院進⾏演講。她的作品曾被《紐約時報》、《美國藝術》、《e-flux 對話》、《亞洲藝術新聞》、《藝術新聞》、《中國⽇版》、《現代畫家》等媒體評述。⿈潔宜的⺟語是粵語,她的英⽂流利,普通話歇斯底⾥。

Ali Wong 是⼀位⽣於⾹港、活躍於紐約的獨⽴策展⼈。現於美國亞洲藝術⽂獻庫⼯作,本科畢業於⾹港中⽂⼤學的藝術系。曾在⾹港1a space ⼯作,亦曾擔任藝術家Tony Labat 及村上隆的助⼿。Ali Wong ⼀半的時間做她⾃⼰,另⼀半時間為概念藝術家⿈潔宜。

Wong Kit Yi is a Hong Kong-born artist who lives in New York. She grew up in the rural New Territories region of Hong Kong and left for her MFA studies at Yale University on a full scholarship.

Wong was selected to participate in an Arctic Circle expeditionary residency (2015), which takes place at 10 degrees from the North Pole, and was supported in part by the Jerome Foundation (2015). Wong’s recent projects have appeared in the solo show North Pole Futures, K. gallery, New York (2015), and in the group exhibitions regarding lightness: On Life’s Way, Oil Street, Hong Kong (2015); Bringing the World into the World, Queens Museum, New York (2014); The Ceiling Should Be Green, P! gallery, New York (2013); and EXCHANGE, School 33 Art Center, Baltimore, MD (2013).

Wong received the Susan H. Whedon Award (2012) from Yale University and Cheung’s Creative Award (2006) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and was a Sovereign Asian Art Prize finalist (2005). She was invited to have a conversation with American Conceptual Art pioneer Mel Bochner at Asia Art Archive in America (2013). In 2014, she was invited to give a lecture at San Francisco Art Institute. Her work has been reviewed in the New York Times, Art in America, e-flux conversations, Asian Art News, The Art Newspaper, China Daily and Modern Painters. She speaks native Cantonese, fluent English, and hysterical Mandarin.

Ali Wong is Hong Kong-born independent curator based in New York.

Currently working at the Asia Art Archive in America, Wong holds a BA in fine arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She previously worked at the nonprofit 1a space in Hong Kong and as an assistant to artists Tony Labat and Takashi Murakami. Ali Wong divides her time between being herself and the conceptual artist Wong Kit Yi.
